The Young Georgians, led by Oliver Gerrish, runs a varied programme of events and activities for those aged thirty and under. Alongside parties and other social events, there are regular trips to country houses, allowing privileged access to private homes not normally open to the public. See recent coverage in The Sunday Times. Events have included visits to Kent (Penshurst Place and Squerryes Court), Norfolk (Ditchingham and Raveningham), Buckinghamshire (Chicheley and Stoke Bruerne), Dorset (Bellamont and Poundbury) and Derbyshire (Catton and Carnfield). In April there was a further visit to Derbyshire, taking in Radburne and the Sitwells' Renishaw, and most recently, in December 2009, the annual Christmas party took place in Fitzroy Square. Join The Young Georgians to be kept abreast of forthcoming activities.
Now 260-strong, with a Facebook group of over 700 members, the Young Georgians offers a relaxed and entertaining way to enjoy great architecture and make new friends. To join, please complete and return the membership form. The annual subscription is £20. Everyone aged thirty and under is welcome.
