Lord Crathorne K.C.V.O., F.S.A., President of The Georgian Group, is a fine art consultant. An hereditary peer, he continues to take an active part in the work of the House of Lords and has sat for the past thirty years on both the All-Party Parliamentary Arts and Heritage Group and on the House of Lords Works of Art Sub-Committee. Amongst other arts and heritage appointments, Lord Crathorne is Patron of the Attingham Trust for the Study of the British Country House, a trustee of the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, North Yorkshire and Vice-President of the Public Monuments and Sculpture Association. He served as a Trustee of the National Heritage Memorial Fund from 1992 to 1995 and as Chairman of the Joint Committee of National Amenity Societies for three years until 1999. He is Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire. |
